As part of the wider programme of UNIQ, we run an annual academic module to provide an opportunity for Year 12 students studying A level Chemistry and Maths to experience life as a Chemistry undergraduate.
The course features a mixture of lectures, tutorials, and practical work to give you the full academic experience.
Applications for UNIQ usually open in December, closing in late January.
UK state school students in Year 12 studying A level Chemistry will spend 3-hours in our Chemistry Teaching Laboratory working with our award-winning team to undertake practical work, taking advantage of our world-class facilities and analytical instruments. An optional career and research talk can be added onto this visit.

Held annually on the last Thursday in September*, this online event is for A level Chemistry (or equivalent) students and their teachers interested in finding out more about the cutting edge research happening in the field of Chemistry.
Invitations to attend in-person are made via our Link Colleges.

Students have the opportunity to reflect on key concepts, illustrated with suitable practical demonstrations, as well as find out about research in the Department of Chemistry related to kinetics.

Open to Oxfordshire state schools working with Trinity College, Battle the Bugs study days provide GCSE students with an opportunity to engage with those undertaking cutting-edge research to tackle drug resistant infections, learn more about the University of Oxford's work on life-saving medicines, and gain hands-on laboratory experience synthesising their own anti-fungal compound.

A one‐day science event for girls and non-binary children in Years 8-9 (or equiv.) in secondary school (12-14 yrs) with exciting hands‐on workshops and activities
The activities are run by volunteer role models in STEM fields.
The event aims to build confidence in under-represented genders with an interest in science and fuel a passion for continuing to pursue STEM subjects at a higher level.
Hosted by your twinned/link College, this 60-minute practical workshop allows Year 5/6 (9-11 yrs) UK state school students to investigate cyanotypes, photochemstry, and the history of photography.
