Join teaching and technical colleagues from across the UK at the Department of Chemistry’s inaugural Teachers’ and Technicians’ conference in Oxford in July 2022. This two-day event (2 pm Thursday to 3.30 pm Friday - see timetable for further details) is a chance to connect with other professionals, meet current researchers and University staff, as well as enjoy the beauty of the city, its colleges and the world-class facilities of the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory.
The programme features talks, panel events, hands-on practical workshops as well as a conference dinner on the Thursday night. Speakers include Dr Catherine Jackson, Associate Professor of the History of Science, Terri Adams, Glass Design & Fabrication Facility Manager, Associate Professor of Science Education, Ann Childs, as well as current researchers working on cutting edge research. There will be an optional session focused on admissions.
The conference will take place jointly between the state-of-the-art Chemistry Teaching Laboratory and St Anne’s College, one of Oxford largest and most welcoming colleges.
