A series of mixed-sandwich compds. contg. Pentamethylcyclopentadienyl (Cp*) or Cyclopentadienyl (Cp) and Tris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) ligands have been synthesized (M=V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni). These are of interest as having structural and electronic properties that are intermediate between the classic metallocenes and MTp2 sandwich complexes. The stability and some structural, electrochem., optical and magnetic properties of these compds. are reported. [on SciFinder(R)]
